Dyson doesn’t discount its products often, so when there’s a deal on one of its popular vacuum models, it’s worth your attention. Right now, Walmart has the Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum for just under $300, down from $590 — a savings of $290.

The stick vacuum has an average 4.3-star rating from more than 5,000 shoppers, with reviewers frequently praising its suction power and how easily it handles pet hair. Deals like this don’t stick around long, so if a cordless vacuum has been on your radar, now’s the time to add it to cart. Here’s why I think it’s worth grabbing while the sale lasts.

Deal of the day

Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum

The Dyson V8 Absolute is a lightweight, cordless stick vacuum built to handle everything from quick touch-ups to deeper cleaning. It switches between two power modes depending on the task, and its compact design makes it easy to maneuver into tight spots, up stairs or around corners.

Its conical brush bar is specifically designed to prevent hair from wrapping around the roller, which makes it a strong pick for pet owners dealing with shedding on carpets, upholstery and pet beds. The included two-in-one wide nozzle and brush tool let you switch quickly between surfaces without swapping attachments constantly.

Beyond performance, the V8 Absolute is convenient to use. It empties with a mechanism that pushes dust and debris out of the bin without requiring you to get your hands dirty, and it’s built from durable, lightweight materials so you don’t feel like you’re lugging around a ton of bricks. When you’re done cleaning, it docks neatly on a wall-mounted charging station that also stores all of its tools, so it’s ready to go the next time you need it.

Shoppers are particularly impressed with its suction power, ease of use and its ability to tackle pet hair on both hard floors and carpet. One thing to note: This vacuum was on sale for $280 for a few days last month, which means the price is trending upwards. So, if you’re looking for a deal on a Dyson, this one is worth jumping on quickly.
