A Sydney woman has been charged with 62 offences after allegedly sending threatening letters to organisations and individuals, including politicians, a place of worship and a media outlet.
This follows the investigation by a newly formed strike force established in response to “a large volume of letters” sent to several individuals and organisations.
Officers searched a home in Constitution Hill last month, seizing electronic devices before arresting the 36-year-old woman on Wednesday.
The charges include sending letters containing threats of death or grievous bodily harm, stalking and intimidation, and dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
The woman was refused bail and will remain in custody.
