Cars hit the Freedom 250 Grand Prix circuit for the first time in a damp practice session

After months of anticipation, we finally got to see IndyCars turning laps around the streets of Washington, DC, ahead of the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, and while it was a sight to behold, it may not have been ideal for teams to get a firm grasp on this brand-new circuit. A rainy, misty morning meant that the entire circuit was wet at the start of the session, and that meant that the cars had to start off on wet tires. However, after a brief delay to do some work on an issue with the marshals' commu
